Here are some photos from our recent trip to New York to see Spamalot. Of course, we had to make the obligatory trip to FAO Schwarz for Morgan to play on the big piano. In the other picture, Morgan is wearing her "fairy wings" at Alice's Tea Cup, a little tea shop on the Upper East Side that we've been to on our past couple of trips to NYC. It's a bit girly for me, but Ella and Morgan (especially Morgan) love it. I have to admit that the food is pretty good, and the tea is excellent.
A quick word about Spamalot: as longtime Monty Python fans, we loved it, although we were a little disappointed in two respects--first, we had bought tickets just before we learned that the traveling show would be coming to DC; and second, the original cast had left by the time we made it up there. Nonetheless, it was a great mix of classic Python skits and new, made-for-Broadway numbers.
